Brazilian Racing News: 4th Round of British F-3

28 April 1998

Luck for Brazilian Enrique Bernoldi in 4th round of British F-3

Sometimes talent isn't enough to become champion and you need a bit of
luck to clinch a championship. Enrique Bernoldi is one of the drivers
that have luck. He was leading, and when he was getting in real
trouble with the gearbox, the rain came and stopped the race in
British F-3.

The 19-year-old Brazilian had a good start making good use of the
grippier outside of the track in Brands Hatch. So, he started second
and was leading the race right at the first corner, after overtaking
the other brazilian, Mario Haberfeld, that was sitting on pole.

Luciano Burti finished 10th. He was very sick, with high fever. "I was
just not feeling good, this race was really the most stressful race I
have ever had. My arms just wanted to rest, and we still have the
fifth round today" said a tired Burti.
