ALLSTAR SPRINTS: Cars on Display at Michigan Chevy Dealers June 4 and 5

CRYSTAL, MI - Feel the thunder of fire breathing sprint cars when the All Star sprints invade Crystal Raceway in central Michigan on Friday, June fifth for their only visit this year. The highlight of the evening is the "GM Powertrain 40" feature race, with exciting wheel to wheel action.

Headlining the list of expected drivers from five states is four-time All Star champion Frankie Kerr plus Keith Kauffman, Joey Saldana, 1996 Crystal winner Kenny Jacobs, Dean Jacobs, Kevin Huntley and many others. Two female competitors add excitement to the All Star Circuit, 17-year-old Sarah Fisher and Pa. driver Judi Bates. The race is open to drivers from any sprint organization, who can compete for a $24,000 purse.

Three area Chevrolet Dealers will have sprint cars on display all day Thursday, June 4 from 11 am to Friday at noon. In Lansing, defending All Star champion Frankie Kerr will be at Shaheen Chevrolet, in Grand Rapids long-time driver Keith Kauffman will be at Kool Chevrolet and in Mt. Pleasant, consistent feature winner Joey Saldana will be at M&M Chevrolet.

Crystal Raceway is located in downtown Crystal. Gates open at 5 p.m. with time trials at 7 and racing at 8. Call 517-235-5200 for more information.
