Brazilian Driver Oswaldo Negri Jr. won the first round of the Panamerican Indy-Lights Championship last weekend in Monterrey, Mexico. Negri raced for the Ferrara/Gimenez Team and started on the second position, behind the driver from Costa Rica Javier Collado. Negri said, "At the start of the race I overtook Collado and the car was really feeling very good. I managed a couple of fast laps, and at every restart I pulled 1.5 secs away from the second. I liked this Racing Series a lot, though my eyes are still on the US, and I will try as hard as possible to get great results this year, to get sponsors to achieve my main target, the CART series."
