NASCAR Trucks: Scot Walters Taking Confidence to Texas

Everything is bigger in Texas. Scot Walters and the Red Man/Brewco Motorsports team believe that saying will serve as a prelude to a great weekend for them in the Pronto Auto Parts 400k at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas.

Walters comes to Texas Motor Speedway having been ultra competitive at the first two speedway races of the year, (Walt Disney World Speedway, and Miami- Dade Homestead Motorsports Complex). Walters qualified 10th in Orlando and ran with leaders before a mechanical problem stymied his run. At Miami-Dade Homestead Motorsports Complex Walters came from 34th to 10th to record his only top ten finish to date.
If early season form is any indication the No.37 Red Man Chevrolet Truck will be one to watch.
"This is the biggest track I've ever been to," said Walters. "I love it. I'm sure were going to be competitive. Terry (Crew Chief) has been here before and the guys on this team have our speedway trucks running really great."
The truck that Scot Walters and the Red Man/Brewco Motorsports team is racing in the Pronto Auto Parts 400K at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas is a new truck that was built specifically for the high speed tracks.
"The guys on the Red Man team have been at the shop working very hard to put this truck together," said Walters. "This is a very smooth truck, everything in it is built for ultimate speed and handling. We'll have to wait and see but I sure it's going to be a good one."
Salem Speedway in Salem Indiana is holding Scot Walters's night on Wednesday June 17. Scot Walters and the Red Man/Brewco Motorsports team transporter will be on display at the speedway and Walters will be available for questions and autographs between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
Walters competed on the Salem Speedway in the late model division early in his career and credits the track and the people in the area as one of the many contributing factors in shaping his career path in motorsports.
" The people of Salem are some of the best race fans in the country," said Walters. "This is a great opportunity to go back and thank the people at the speedway for everything they did for me when I was racing there."
Red Coleman's convenience store chain is the associate sponsor on the No. 37 Red Man Chevrolet for the Pronto Auto Parts 400k at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas. The chain operates 20 stores throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth Metro area.
