Race Date: Sunday, June 28, 1998 Green Flag: 4:00 p.m. (EDT) Television: LIVE, Speedvision, Sunday, June 28, 4:00 p.m. (EDT) Circuit: Minneapolis Street Circuit, 1.6-mile, 13-turn city street circuit Race Length: 1 hour 45 minutes Circuit Records: New venue and format for 1998. Fast Qualifier, Fast Lap, Winners: Speed and Margin of Victory will all establish new Can-Am and GT records. Also of Note: The Can-Am Championship, along with the GT Championship, enters Round Four of its "rebirth" season this weekend. The Can-Am is in its 20th season overall, and the first in its "modern" era. Seasons from 1966-1974 and 1977-1986 are considered the historic era. This weekend marks the Can-Am's first appearance to a street circuit in Minneapolis, and is the fourth race in the modern Can-Am era (159th overall).
