Where: Greenville Pickens Speedway in Greenville, S.C. is a .5 mile slightly banked asphalt oval. The speedway is located 3.2 miles west of US 25 on US 123.

When: Saturday, July 11, 1998 - 8:00 p.m.

Distance: 100 Laps (50 Miles)

Sanction: National Association of Stock Car Automobile Racing Inc. (NASCAR)

Schedule: Saturday, July 11--Registration and inspection 10:00 a.m. Mandatory Rookie Drivers Meeting 1:00 p.m. (at the Dash Trailer). Practice 1:30 -3:30 p.m. Draw for qualifying 3:45 p.m. Time Trials (2 laps) 5:00 p.m. Mandatory Driver and Crew Chief Meeting 7:00 p.m.

Posted Awards: $19,850 Including Promoters Purse, Cash Contingency Awards, $1200 NASCAR Goody's Dash Series Championship Points Fund and $2500 NASCAR Goody's Dash Series Top 20 Bonus Plan.

This will be lucky race number 13 for the Goody's Dash Series at Greenville Pickens Speedway.

The Series took a ten-year hiatus from Greenville Pickens Speedway from 1985 to 1995. Since the Series returned in 1995, there have been three different winners of this event. Danny Bagwell won in '95, Will Hobgood in '96 and Charles Powell III in '97..

Dean Combs, Larry Hoopaugh and Danny McClain are the only multi-race winners here. Combs won back to back victories in the first two Dash Series events held here in '80 and '81. McClain won back to back victories in the last two races here before the hiatus. Those events were held in '84 and '85. Hoopaugh's wins came in the first and last of three races here in '83. In between Hoopaugh's wins Michael Waltrip picked up his second career Dash series win at this track.

Mike Swaim Jr. is the only multiple pole winner here. He won back to back poles in '95 and '96.

Larry Hoopaugh is the only driver to win a Dash Series race here from the pole. '83.
