ALLSTAR: Bakers Dozen for All Star Sprints in August

PONCE INLET, FL - With 13 races set for the month of August in five states, the All Star sprint car series drivers will be traveling a lot of miles in August in search of victory lane.

The month kicks off at K-C Raceway near Chillicothe, OH for the annual Freedom 40, paying $10,000 to win on Sat. Aug. 1. The next evening, action moves north to Flag City Motorsports Park in Finlay for a $4,000 to win All Star show on the 3/8 mile oval. A mid-week show is up next on Eldora Speedways half-mile in Rossburg as part of the Historical Big One on Thurs. Aug. 6, billed as "Two nights before the Big One."

Thunder Through The Plains IV kicks off the week after the Knoxville Nationals as the All Stars battle the best of the National Championship Racing Assn (NCRA) starting Mon., Aug. 17 at Eagle (NE) Raceway. Thunder continues Tues. Aug. 18 at the famous Belleville (KS) High Banks, Wed. Aug. 19 at WaKeeney, Ks. Speedway, Friday Aug. 21 at 81 Speedway in Wichita, KS and the five race mini-series concludes on Saturday, Aug. 22 at the Tulsa (OK) Speedway.

Central Pa. is up next for the traveling All Star series, as a Wed. Aug. 26 Thunder on the Hill event at Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville opens the Keystone State swing. Williams Grove Speedway hosts the All Stars on Friday night Aug. 28, followed by a Lincoln Speedway appearance in Hanover on Sat. Aug. 29. The Lincoln event is highlighted by double features, as a makeup of the May 2 rainout. Sunday, Aug. 30 the series returns to the Susquehanna Speedway in Newberrytown to close out the busy month.
