Tracks: Joe Foster Named Road Atlanta's Chief Driving Instructor

BRASELTON, Georgia, -- Effective immediately, Joe Foster has been named Chief Driving Instructor for the Panoz Racing School and the Panoz Performance Driving School at Road Atlanta. He will be responsible for curricula, training methods, instructor training, scheduling and manufacturer ride and drives.

Jeff Purner, who formerly held this position, has been named Road Atlanta's Manager of New Business Development.

Foster, an experienced racer in the U.S. Formula 2000 and Firehawk Endurance series, earned Bachelors and Masters Degrees in mechanical engineering at Georgia Tech. A San Diego native, Foster now resides in Loganville, Georgia.

The appointment of Foster as Chief Driving Instructor is part of an ongoing reorganization of Road Atlanta racing and driving programs, which includes new training facilities and new vehicles for both driving schools.

The Road Atlanta Motorsport Center is part of the Panoz group of companies. These include Panoz Motor Sports, with race teams competing in the FIA GT Sports Car Championship, and the U.S. sports car series; legendary Sebring International Raceway; Mosport Park; Panoz Auto Development, a manufacturer of limited-production, high-performance sports cars; and Chateau Elan, a four-star resort in northern Georgia.
