NOTES AND QUOTES:
"We are bringing the same Goodyear Eagle recommendation that performed extremely well at Bristol Motor Speedway in the March race," said Tony Freund, Goodyear's lead engineer for stock cars. The setup also was used at North Carolina Motor Speedway in February and will race in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season finale at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in November.

"The short length of this oval creates tight, action-packed racing with pit strategy instrumental in the outcome of the race. Cautions tend to occur close together, with extended green runs lasting as long as 100 laps, in between. The key factor is for teams to pit at the "right" time to secure a solid track position over the rest of the field," noted Freund.

DID YOU KNOW? ... Bristol Motor Speedway, the second-shortest oval in the Winston Cup Series, boasts a Series high 36 degrees of banking on the corners. Both factors create some of the highest cornering loads of the season on the Goodyear Racing Eagles. ESTIMATED PIT STOPS FOR SUNDAY'S RACE:
APPROXIMATELY EVERY 150-170 LAPS. (ESTIMATE BASED ON FUEL CAPACITY)
