SCCA: Children's Hospital Grand Prix of Colorado Preview

The Children's Hospital Grand Prix of Colorado at Pikes Peak International Raceway, September 25-27, is up next for the NTB Trans-Am Series, the World Challenge Championship and the Spec Racer Ford Pro Series. The PPIR schedule is included in this edition of Pro Fax, and the weekend will also feature a Checkered Flag Ball on Saturday, Sept. 26, and a benefit raffle on Sunday, Sept. 27.The Checkered Flag Ball will be held at the PPIR Pikes Peak Club from 6:30 p.m. - 12:00 midnight, and features a racing simulator and other interactive games and entertainment, a first-class silent and live auction, Checkered Flag Dinner as well as music and dancing. Individual tickets are $50 per person, and a corporate table sponsorship is $1,000. The Children's Hospital is also seeking donated items from race teams for the auctions. The Children's Hospital Grand Prix of Colorado Checkered Flag Raffle features a Suzuki VZ800 Marauder Motorcycle ($6,099 value), a New Holland Riding Lawn Mower ($3,900 value) and a Corwell Tools 60" 28-Drawer Tool Box ($2,995 value). A max. of 8,000 tickets will be sold, and prices are $5.00 for one ticket or $25.00 for six tickets, with all proceeds benefiting the Oncology Department at the Children's Hospital. The drawing will be held Sunday, Sept. 27 at 2:30 p.m., at PPIR. Winners need not be present to win, and winners are responsible for all taxes and licensing.
