IRL: Robbie and Robby Looking Forward to Lone Star 500

Buhl earned his racing stripes mainly on road courses while Unser, son of three-time Indianapolis 500 winner Bobby, learned to race on America's dirt tracks. Both are hoping to improve on their finishes in June?s True Value 500 at Texas Motor Speedway where Buhl placed sixth in the Johns Manville Dallara and Unser ninth in The Children?s Beverage Group G Force.
"We have to make sure we are running at the finish of the race," Buhl said. "It hasn't been an easy year but we want to make sure the blue car finishes the season strong. Texas is such a first-rate facility, the racing has been great in both of our events there the past two seasons. The track improvements they made (prior to the True Value 500) made it just that much faster."

"The Indy Racing League has opened up avenues for newcomers like me," commented Unser who is a teammate with owner-driver Eddie Cheever, this year's Indianapolis 500 winner. "I'm proud to be part of a series that is this competitive.
"You better believe that racing into a corner at Texas two or three wide at more than 220 miles per hour makes the hair on your neck stand up," continued Unser, IRL's leading first-year driver. "I am still a rookie, our goal is to be running hard at the end of the race."
Buhl's trip to Texas will include a stop at a children's hospital, part of his eighth year of involvement with the "Racing for Kids" program. "We try to help make their day a little better."
