NASCAR BGN: Brewco Motorsports Forms Alliance with Hensley Racing

Atwood to Finish 1998 Season in No. 63 ChevroletCentral City, KY: Brewco Motorsports Inc. announced today it has formed an alliance with Hensley Racing's NASCAR Busch Series team for the remainder of the 1998 season. The partnership places Brewco Motorsports driver Casey Atwood in the drivers seat of Hensley Racing's No. 63 Chevrolet Monte Carlo for the six remaining NASCAR Busch Series races.
Atwood, 18, of Antioch, Tennessee, will make his first start in the No. 63 entry in Saturday's MBNA Gold 200 at Dover Downs International Speedway. He replaces driver Tracy Leslie.
"We have been working for several weeks to find the right situation which would allow Casey to complete the remainder of the 1998 NASCAR Busch Series schedule," said Brewco Motorsports team owner Clarence Brewer Jr. "Our collaborated efforts with Hensley Racing provides such an option."
Hensley Racing is no stranger to success. The Ridgeway, Virginia based team captured the 1990 NASCAR Busch Series championship with driver Chuck Bown and is also the longest active NASCAR Busch Series team.
"We are excited about the opportunity to work with Brewco Motorsports and Casey Atwood," said Hensley Racing team manager Jeff Hensley. "Our joint venture with Brewco Motorsports will allow us to showcase the talent and depth of our organization, while at the same time provide Casey with valuable track time."
Brewco Motorsports, based in Central City, Kentucky, fields the No. 37 Timber Wolf Chevrolet Monte Carlo in the NASCAR Busch Series with driver Mark Green and the No. 37 Red Man Chevrolet in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with driver Scot Walters.
