NOTES AND QUOTES:
"Based on the excellent performance of our setup at the spring NASCAR event, we are bringing the same Goodyear Eagle race recommendation this weekend. It differs slightly from last years setup by incorporating a slight refinement to the left-side construction to increase cornering performance," said Tony Freund, Goodyears lead engineer for stock cars.

"The tires provided a solid, consistent performance during the entire spring race and enabled teams to employ no-tire, two-tire and four-tire pit stop strategies late in the race. We expect the Goodyear Eagles to perform exceptionally well again this weekend," added Freund. This recommendation also is used at Michigan Speedway, California Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway.

DRIVER QUOTE:
Dale Jarrett, #88 Quality Care Ford, Robert Yates Racing
"Even though we won the fall race at Charlotte Motor Speedway last year, I didnt feel we were as good as we could be. Hopefully, the change in the Eagle recommendation for this track will be beneficial to us and help us get back into victory lane at Charlottes fall race."
