MISC: Injured Drivers and Benevolent Fund Auction

22 October 1998

The Dayton Auto Racing Fan Club (DARF) will be holding their annual "Injured Drivers and Benevolent Fund Auction" on Tuesday night, October 27, 7:00 p.m., at the Christopher Club, 3150 S. Dixie Drive. This year's auction will benefit the family of the late Pat Beebe, owner of the MARC Times Racing News. The family is facing stiff medical bills incurred during Pat's illness. Among the items gathered to date are autographed driving gloves of Darrell Waltrip, racing photographs, autographed T-shirts, hats, jackets, collectibles, and other racing memorabilia. Troy's Jack Hewitt has also donated the gloves he wore in this year's Indianapolis 500.

Everyone is welcome to attend this fun event. For further information, please contact Karen Beattie or Becky Pfeiffenberger.
