NASCAR-BGN: Mark Green/Timber Wolf Racing Notes - North Carolina Speedway

29 October 1998

AC Delco 200
October 29-31, 1998
Rockingham, North Carolina

THE RETURN OF THUMPER: Every driver has a favorite race car and Mark Green is no different. Thumper, the No. 37 Timber Wolf Chevrolet Monte Carlo which Green is so fond of, returns to action in Saturday's AC Delco 200 NASCAR Busch Series race at North Carolina Speedway after a brief hiatus. It is the same car he drove to a ninth place finish in February at NCS. He also piloted Thumper at ndianapolis Raceway Park in August.

"I love this car," said Green, a resident of Owensboro, Kentucky. "The best way to describe it is like your favorite pair of shoes. It just feels right. We have seven cars but no matter how hard you try to make them feel the same, you can't. Not only does it drive well, it also fits me perfectly. When we bring Thumper, I never worry."

HOWLOWEEN: The No. 37 Timber Wolf Chevrolet Monte Carlo and driver Mark Green are set to Howl in running of the AC Delco 200 NASCAR Busch Series race at North Carolina Speedway on Halloween (Saturday).

"You couldn't ask for a more appropriate car to race on Halloween than the Timber Wolf car," said Green. "It doesn't need a costume. What's scarier than a howling wolf coming up behind you at 150 mph.

"All joking aside, we have a great setup at the North Carolina Speedway. Our last two races here have been top 10 finishes. It would be great to got to victory lane on Halloween and fill it with a pack of howling wolfs (the Timber Wolf crew)."

ASSOCIATE SPONSOR: Food Folks, a local convenience store chain with 28 locations, is an associate sponsors on the No. 37 Timber Wolf Chevrolet Monte Carlo for the AC Delco 200 at North Carolina Speedway.
