Famous Drivers Sign up for Brazillian Go-Kart Race

Rubens Barrichello, Tony Kanaan, Christian Fittipaldi, Felipe Giaffone, and Luiz Garcia Jr are some of the names that will take part in the Granja Viana 500, a go-kart race that will attract more than 100 drivers of all over the world. The race will be held in Granja Viana, a 1240 meters long track and will be raced by 20 go-kart, each team can have up to 10 drivers in the same kart, as the race will last 11 hours if the weather is dry and up to 15 in wet weather conditions. "I am very confident in doing a great race" said Barrichello, brazilian F-1 driver, that will race in the same team as will Kanaan, rookie of the year in the CART series. Cristiano da Matta, 1998 Indy Lights champion was also invited to take part in the race. Max Papis and Cesar Campanico are some of the non-brazilians invited for the race.
