NASCAR: Budweiser to be an Important Part of Pennzoil Motorsports '99

Fort Washington, Penn. - Budweiser, an important part of motor sports for many years, will be the official beer of the 14th Annual Pennzoil Motorsports Auto Racing Trade Show. The three day show, opening at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 15 and running through 6 p.m., Sunday, January 17, will take place at the Fort Washington (PA) Expo Center.

One of the major attractions of the show, which covers more than 275,000 square feet and includes everything relation to motor sports, will be BUDland. Included in the display will be the current Budweiser sponsored NASCAR Winston Cup car which is driven by Wally Dallenbach. Terry Labonte's #11 Budweiser sponsored 1987 Winston Cup car will be in BUDland. And Brett Hearn, winner of 30 dirt modified feature races in 1998, will has his Budweiser sponsored DIRT Modified on display. Hearn will be greeting fans at BUDland on opening day of the show and will be signing autographs in autograph alley 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and again 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Budweiser Pavilion will be the place to be on Friday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. as WYSP-FM, the number one rock station in the Philadelphia area, will have "Cousin Ed" on hand to entertain show attendees. Cousin Ed is the most popular PM radio drive personality in the Philadelphia area. The Budweiser party, offering specials on the official beer of Pennzoil Motorsports '99, will be staged in the Budweiser Pavilion which is the site of the very popular Ms. Motorsports Pageant and other on stage activities. WYSP collectibles and Budweiser items will be given away to some lucky show attendees. Food will be available. The party will continue even after show closing at 10 p.m.

The popular Bud Girls will be at the show throughout the weekend, greeting fans, posing for photos and signing autographs.

Budweiser will offer promotional support of the mid- winter motor sports happening by offering discount coupons for tickets to Pennzoil Motorsports '99. The coupons, offering substantial discounts for opening day of the show, will be available at taverns and beverage outlets throughout the Philadelphia market area.

Pennzoil Motorsports '99 will include appearances by Winston Cup racers Steve Park, Chad Little, and Jeremy Mayfield along with three time Indy 500 winner Johnny Rutherford and "The King of Drag Racing" Don Garlits. Appearances by additional drivers and personalities will be announced in coming weeks. The show will also include more than 125 motor sports vehicles on display and more than 500 exhibits offering just about everything related to motor sports.
