ARCA Firstplus Financial 200 - Notes and Practice Times (Saturday)

After posting the quickest ARCA test speed in practice Saturday morning at 190.206 mph, Josh Baltes cut a right front tire just past the start-finish line and had contact with the outside retaining wall. Baltes was uninjured however it remains to be seen if the car can be repaired in time for the race.

In other news from Daytona, defending ARCA Bondo/Mar-Hyde Series champion Frank Kimmel had contact with the turn 4 wall Thursday in 1st round qualifying. The 14-time series winner was transported to Halifax Regional Medical Center in Daytona Beach where he was held overnight for evaluation and released Friday morning. ARCA veteran Bob Hill qualified the back-up car on Saturday morning however it is yet undecided if Kimmel or Hill will start the race on Sunday. The #46 Advance Auto Parts Chevrolet will roll off 37th on the grid.
