Huge Vintage Race with TV Stars at Buttonwillow

29 April 1999


On May 1-2 one of the most exciting vintage car race weekends of 1999
will take place when Moss Motors presents the 4th Annual British
Extravaganza at Buttonwillow Raceway Park in ButtonWillow, Ca near
Bakersfield.

Showcasing a myriad of fast and exotic British racing machines, this
years extravaganza will feature over 250 race cars of all types
including several 3-wheel Morgans, a 1936 Curtis, 1934 MGNE, 1929
Lagonda, Peter Gidding's 1933 Alfa Romeo Monza plus a host of other
interesting machines.

There will be eight VARA (Vintage Auto Racing) races each day, an air
show, Formula 5000 race cars, Formula Atlantic's,  and a special MG vs
Triumph race.A Mini vs Sprite race is also planned.

Saturday night will feature a Tri-Tip BBQ with evening entertainment and
great raffle prizes.

Also this will be a unique opportunity for race fans to meet some
popular TV cellebrities who will ride/drive in pace cars. Expected to
show up are Clive Robertson (Sunset Beach) Christi Harris and Michael
Truco (Pensacola) Shaun Baker (VIP) and Jay Avacone (Independence Day)
will tour the 2 mile twisting road racing circuit.

Cars from the famous Visalia (CA) Motorsports Festival have been invited
to join the fun.

Tickets are just $10.00, Children under 12 free. The proceeds will
benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Tulare County.Gates open at 7 AM and
racing commences at 8AM.
