Brazilian F-Chevrolet Championship Report

The 9th round of the Brazilian F-Chevrolet Championship was held this weekend in Rio de Janeiro, at the Nelson Piquet circuit.

Since the first practices, it was clear that the home teams (that test in Rio) would have a great advantage over the others, as the track has slow corners, fast corners, medium corners, long straights, long corners, making the setup very difficult.

The high temperature (over 100 F air temperature) made the tyres life very short, so the best thing to do was driver carefully and try to finish the race.

The pole-position was take by Christian Rocha, his second this season with a time of 1m51s418. Rocha races for Vogel Motorsport.Starting Grid

At the race, an accident at the first corner caused a yellow flag and the pace car entered the track. At the restart, Karlos Fernandes, that was fighting for the Championship, lost positions and lost his best chance to take the championship lead with one round remaining.Race Results

With this results, Felipe Massa has now a 10 points advantage over Carbone and 11 points over Fernandes with only one round remaining in Interlagos on November 28th.
