TireLIFE -- New Nitrogen Tire Inflation System for Automobiles/Trucks

    CINCINNATI, Aug. 5 -- ECO Air Products of Cincinnati, Ohio
has announced the introduction of TireLIFE, it's system for inflating tires
with nitrogen.  The fuel efficiency, safety, and tire wear benefits of
nitrogen tire inflation have been known for some time.  On-the-road testing
has confirmed a 25% to 30% increase in tire mileage.  However, the cost and
inefficiency of using nitrogen delivered in high pressure cylinders has up to
now limited use to aircraft, race cars, and off-road heavy equipment.
    "TireLIFE supplies low cost nitrogen by means of a convenient on-site
generator," says David Freytag ECO's president.  "Our patented NitraFill(TM)
design provides the totally automatic, on-demand operation required for tire
Inflation in fleet maintenance facilities, tire stores, service stations,
quick lubes, and other automotive service facilities."
    Nitrogen is a safe, inert gas which comprises about 80% of the air we
breathe.  The TireLIFE system removes the moisture and more importantly the
oxygen which makes up most of the other 20%.  Freytag says, "This in turn
eliminates oxidation of rubber, a major destructive element affecting tire
life and safety -- just think in terms of what happens to the elasticity and
strength of rubber bands over time.  Equally important, tires hold their
pressure better with just nitrogen, yielding higher fuel mileage."
