AAdvantage Members Can Get up to Five Times More Miles with Thrifty Car Rental's Fall Promo

    TULSA, Okla., Aug. 19 -- American Airlines AAdvantage members
can rack up more than five times the normal mileage award by parking with and
renting from Thrifty as part of its new aggressive U.S. fall promotion
effective August 25 through December 15.
    The promotion involves awarding a bonus of 1,000 AAdvantage miles when a
program member first parks at a Thrifty airport parking location and then
rents from Thrifty in their destination city.  It also includes the awarding
of tiered bonus mileage of up to 1,500 miles for renting compact, intermediate
and full sized cars, with or without the parking segment.  The rental must be
in the U.S., picked up on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, and must be a
minimum of two days.
    "Under the promotion, a customer could realistically earn up to 2,750
AAdvantage miles," said Bob Thunell, Staff Vice President of Sales, "which is
more than five times today's normal award of 500 miles.  Additionally, it
incorporates a very unique element that is not prevalent in the industry
today -- mileage for airport parking, one of Thrifty's strengths."

    The promotion elements are as follows:

    -- 500 base AAdvantage miles and 500 bonus miles are given for the U.S.
       rental of a Thrifty compact or intermediate car.
    -- 500 base AAdvantage miles and 1,000 bonus miles are given for the U.S.
       rental of a Thrifty full size vehicle or larger.
       (Note: to receive the above bonus mileage, the rental must be a minimum
       of two days and picked up on a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.)
    -- An additional 1,000 bonus miles will be awarded when the customer first
       parks at a Thrifty U.S. airport parking location then rents at a
       worldwide Thrifty location in the destination city.
    -- Park at the same U.S. Thrifty location three times in a year and
       receive an additional 250 miles, a permanent feature of Thrifty's
       participation in the AAdvantage program.

    The promotion is not combinable with any other discounts or offers.
