Toyota Announces Pricing of All-New Sienna MinivanTORRANCE, Calif., Sept. 2 -- Toyota Motor Sales, USA (TMS), Inc., today announced that the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of the 1998 Toyota Sienna will range from $21,140 for a four-door CE model to $27,100 for a five-door XLE. Toyota's all-new minivan will be produced exclusively at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky. "Internally, we've been referring to Sienna as the Camry of minivans, and for very good reason," said J. Davis Illingworth, senior vice president and general manager, Toyota Division. "Sienna was designed with the same emphasis on safety, comfort, exceptional performance and benchmark quality that went into the recently redesigned Camry. Today's mainstream minivan buyer has a clear and definite image of what a minivan is supposed to be, and we're convinced Sienna hits the target squarely." Sienna seats seven and will be offered in CE, LE and XLE trim levels. It will ride on a stretched and modified Camry platform, and will share the Camry's three-liter V-6 and four-speed automatic transmission. Sienna was designed to offer optimum interior roominess in a compact, easy-to-maneuver package. It's a vehicle that handles like a sedan and is as easy to park in town as it is willing to haul family and cargo on a weekend outing. Sienna standard equipment will include dual air bags, anti-lock brakes, low tire-pressure warning system and front seat belt pre-tensioners with force-limiters. Depending on grade level and model, Sienna will offer a driver- and passenger-side sliding door, leather seating, power rear-quarter windows, removable split fold-down/tumble-forward rear seats, removable fold- down middle-row captain's chairs and dual air conditioning. Pricing has already been announced for Tacoma, Camry, 4Runner and T100. Remaining model prices will be released soon. SOURCE Toyota Motor Sales, USA
