Chrysler Revises Consumer Incentives Program

    AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Sept. 3 -- Chrysler Corporation
is revising its national consumer incentives program and increasing
by up to $1,000 the cash allowances available to buyers of certain 1997 cars
and trucks.
    Also effective September 3, customers who lease new 1998 Jeep(R) Grand
Cherokee Laredo or Limited models will qualify for $1,000 lease cash
allowances.  This lease cash program expires January 5, 1998.
    Available cash allowances increased $1,000 on 1997 Dodge and Plymouth
Neon, Chrysler Cirrus, Dodge Stratus and Plymouth Breeze.  Allowances
available to customers who buy or lease the other 1997 models listed below
increased $500.
    Here are the revised cash allowance amounts available through October 6.
Programs covering other vehicles are unchanged.  Vehicles listed are 1997
models.
