Tonka(R) Continues Its Day at the Races with Driver Kenny Irwin and Car #27 in the Hanes 500MARTINSVILLE, Va., Sept. 26 -- Following his top ten finish in his 1997 Winston Cup Series debut, Kenny Irwin will make his second appearance in the Hasbro and Action Performance-sponsored Car #27 featuring the Tonka paint scheme. Hasbro, (Amex: HAS) a worldwide leader in children's entertainment, along with Action Performance Companies , is sponsoring Irwin's Car #27 on the Robert Yates Racing Team for five 1997 Winston Cup Series races. Hasbro, in its first-time, auto facing sponsorship, is the primary sponsor for four races and primary associate on one additional race. Action Performance is the primary sponsor for one of the races. Four different paint schemes will be featured in Irwin's five-race schedule, including: Tonka, in the Exide NASCAR Select Batteries 400, Richmond, Va., September 6 and the Hanes 500, Martinsville, Va., September 28; Nerf(R), in the AC Delco 400, Rockingham, N.C., October 26; Action Performance, in the Dura-Lube 500, Phoenix, Ariz., November 2; and G.I. Joe(R), in the NAPA 500, Atlanta, Ga., November 16. Hasbro's Winner's Circle(TM) brand logo will be featured on all of the Irwin #27 cars.
