Mitsubishi Motors Sponsors 1997 Newsweek Tech Tour10-City Tour Offers Consumers a Chance to Win '98 Montero Sport CYPRESS, Calif., Oct. 31 -- As one of six primary sponsors of this year's Newsweek Technology Tour, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America, Inc. (MMSA) has joined the interactive exhibit for a 10-city tour that exposes consumers to new technology in computers, printers, home entertainment centers, satellite television and cellular phones within a specialized, user- friendly environment. Along with all the interactive attractions, consumers will also have the opportunity to enter to win a 1998 Montero Sport LS 4WD mid-size sport utility. According to Jim Jones, MMSA manager, sales promotion and marketing support, this is the third consecutive year MMSA has sponsored the Newsweek Tour. "We're proud to align ourselves with products and organizations that are on the cutting edge," said Jones. "Mitsubishi Motors has always been a proponent of advanced technology that benefits the consumers that use our products." Mitsubishi Motors will display the Montero Sport, Eclipse Spyder convertible and Galant mid-size sedan at each tour site. The Mitsubishi Motors kiosk will be one of six exhibits displayed alongside a central information center. Additional tour sponsors include Hewlett-Packard, Qualcomm, Toshiba Consumer Products, Toshiba Computer Systems and U.S. Satellite Broadcasting. The 1997 Newsweek Technology Tour is traveling to 10 cities including Atlanta, Boston, New York, Washington D.C., St. Louis, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, San Francisco and Los Angeles. This week's tour will be held Nov. 1-3, 1997 in Serramonte Center (Daly City) located at #3 Serramonte Center, Daly City, Calif.
