Audi Launches New Web Site

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Nov. 3 -- Audi of America, Inc. today
announced its new web site so that customers and prospects may better
experience its most innovative line of cars ever. This site, http://www.audiusa.com,
uses multimedia audio, video, and a high degree of interactivity to let
visitors explore the 1998 models from Audi. Designed to communicate the Audi
brand essence, it leverages the medium's potential to disseminate product
information and facilitate the buying process for customers.
Five content areas form the framework for the site: Passion, Family,
Happiness, Friends, and Knowledge. The Passion section details Audi's
commitment to design and innovative technology based on its near 100-year
tradition of crafting exceptional cars. While exploring the design area,
Shockwave(TM) technology brings to life a new concept in car interiors, called
"Atmospheres." The Family section lets the user explore in depth the Audi
family of models. It includes a "car configurator" which enables visitors to
personalize their own Audi. In the Happiness section visitors find an Owner's
Club and are able to locate their nearest Audi dealer. Friends introduces the
user to Audi as a company and takes the user on a tour of events that Audi
sponsors around the country. The Knowledge section includes accolades that
others are awarding to Audi products as well as information on the latest
press releases, recent articles about Audis, and quotes.
Audi of America first appeared on the worldwide web eighteen months ago.
Recent modifications to the original site included a new section with the
introduction of the 1998 Audi A4 2.8 last June and a preview of the new A6
launched this past September.
In conjunction with Audi of America's advertising Agency, McKinney &
Silver in Raleigh, NC, the web site was conceived and designed by the CKS
Partners office in Washington, DC. Programming and Production was completed
by Network Publishing in Provo, Utah.
