Paychex(R) Teams Up with Brett Bodine for 1998 NASCAR Winston Cup

    ROCHESTER, N.Y., Jan. 8 -- Paychex, Inc. will
sponsor the Scandia Bodine Racing team's 1998 NASCAR Winston Cup campaign.
Brett Bodine is scheduled to drive the #11 Paychex Ford in 35 NASCAR Winston
Cup events this year.
    "We are excited to be part of NASCAR Winston Cup's 50th anniversary year,"
said Gene Polisseni, vice president of marketing, Paychex.  "This year, NASCAR
is targeting more than 200 hours of prime-time television programming.  We
view NASCAR racing as an exceptional opportunity to put the Paychex brand in

    The first NASCAR Winston Cup event is scheduled for February 15, 1998 at
Daytona International Speedway.

generated by NASCAR Winston Cup, the Paychex name will reach potential clients

Cup event at North Wilkesboro and in 1994 he finished second at the Inaugural
Brickyard 400.
    Team Scandia, a Division of International Motor Sports Group, fields top
teams in NASCAR's Winston Cup series, the Indianapolis Racing League (IRL),
National Hot Rod Association's (NHRH) Top Fuel series and Professional Sports
Car Racing's World SportsCar series.  In 1997, Team Scandia posted victories
at the Exxon Superflo 12 Hours of Sebring (Sports Car), the Mopar Parts
Nationals at Englishtown, NJ (NHRA Top Fuel), and Las Vegas 500k (IRL).
    The #11 Paychex Ford will debut at the 1998 NASCAR Winston Cup Preview,
held on January 10, 1998, at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum,
WinstonSalem, North Carolina.  Brett Bodine will appear from 3:45 p.m. to
5:45 p.m.
