Specialty Equipment Market Association Announces New Trade Show for Midwest'SEMA Performance Show' Targeting Performance-Related Companies Debuts February 19 to 21, 1999 in Cincinnati DIAMOND BAR, Calif., March 27 -- The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), the driving force behind the specialty automotive aftermarket, announced a new trade show today -- the SEMA Performance Show. Co-sponsored by the Motorsports Parts Manufacturing Council (MPMC), the SEMA Performance Show will bring all aspects of the performance market -- imports and trucks, muscle cars and street rods, performance for the street and for the racetrack -- together under one roof. The show will be the complete automotive performance industry marketplace with a powerful mix of products, profit and growth opportunities featuring industry superstars, special events and feature vehicle displays. Many of the leading warehouse distributors have already confirmed their involvement, including Keystone Automotive, Motor State Distributing, American Specialty, VSI and Nickels Performance. The inaugural SEMA Performance Show will be at the Cincinnati Convention Center in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 19 to 21, 1999. SEMA, based in Diamond Bar, Calif., is the $18 billion automotive aftermarket industry's largest professional association. This year's annual SEMA/AI Show in Las Vegas had nearly 5,000 booths spread throughout five different halls. Almost 75,000 merchants/attendees attended from more than two dozen countries worldwide.
