Specialty Equipment Market Association Announces New Trade Show for Midwest

'SEMA Performance Show' Targeting Performance-Related Companies Debuts
                    February 19 to 21, 1999 in Cincinnati

DIAMOND BAR, Calif., March 27 -- The Specialty Equipment
Market Association (SEMA), the driving force behind the specialty automotive
aftermarket, announced a new trade show today -- the SEMA Performance Show.
Co-sponsored by the Motorsports Parts Manufacturing Council (MPMC), the
SEMA Performance Show will bring all aspects of the performance market
-- imports and trucks, muscle cars and street rods, performance for the street
and for the racetrack -- together under one roof.
The show will be the complete automotive performance industry marketplace
with a powerful mix of products, profit and growth opportunities featuring
industry superstars, special events and feature vehicle displays. Many of the
leading warehouse distributors have already confirmed their involvement,
including Keystone Automotive, Motor State Distributing, American Specialty,
VSI and Nickels Performance.
The inaugural SEMA Performance Show will be at the Cincinnati Convention
Center in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 19 to 21, 1999.
SEMA, based in Diamond Bar, Calif., is the $18 billion automotive
aftermarket industry's largest professional association. This year's annual
SEMA/AI Show in Las Vegas had nearly 5,000 booths spread throughout five
different halls. Almost 75,000 merchants/attendees attended from more than
two dozen countries worldwide. SEMA's next shows are the SEMA Truck & Auto
Accessory Expos, scheduled for April 3 and 4 in Detroit and April 17 and 18 in
Orlando.
