Detroit.

    Media Days
The show will be open to the mass media for three days beginning on
Monday, January 4, through Wednesday, January 6, 1999. (More than 5,900
international media from 67 countries attended the 1998 NAIAS.)

    Charity Preview
Next year's black tie Charity Preview event, which in 1998 raised $3.75
million for ten Detroit children's charities, will be held on Friday,
January 8, 1999.

    Public Show
And, the 1999 public show will open on Saturday, January 9, through Martin
Luther King Day, Monday, January 18, 1999.

"The Detroit show committee is already well-underway in the planning of
the 1999 show, and we're confident that, based on some of the meetings we've
had with manufacturers here and abroad, next year's show goers won't be
disappointed," said Harold Kuhn, senior co-chair of the 1999 NAIAS and owner
of Detroit's Park Motor Sales. "We're planning on the same excitement,
attendance and success for next year's show that was generated at this year's
NAIAS. The show just keeps getting better and better," he added.
Celebrating its 10th year as an international event, the 1998 NAIAS posted
the highest public attendance in show history, attracting a record 791,311.
The previous record was set in 1997 with attendance of 725,796.
