GROVE CITY, Ohio, April 8 -- Nissan Motor Corp. USA is
substantially increasing its dealership service technician training
capabilities in the northern Midwest with the grand opening today of a new

The facility more than triples the size of the previous facility, and has
the capacity to train 16 Nissan and Infiniti dealership technicians per week.
The technicians will come primarily from dealerships in Ohio, Michigan,
Indiana, Kentucky and Pennsylvania.
"This facility represents a substantial investment and commitment by
Nissan to its customers and dealers to help ensure that Nissan and Infiniti
owners receive the best-possible service for their vehicles," said Dan Carney,
field technical training instructor who will manage the facility.
Nissan has invested about $800,000 in the 12,400 square-foot facility, its
equipment and training materials. The center has 10 service bays, six service
lifts, two classrooms and a laboratory with 12 computers. There are 12 other
such technician training centers nationwide.
In North America, Nissan's operations include styling, engineering,
manufacturing, sales, consumer and corporate financing, and industrial and
textile equipment. Nissan in North America employs more than 20,000 people in
