Chrysler Announces Owner's Bonus Program
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., April 24 -- Chrysler Corporation
has announced an Owner's Bonus Program that gives owners of Dodge,
Chrysler, Plymouth, Jeep(R) and Eagle vehicles, as well as owners of selected
competitive vehicles, coupons worth $500 to $1000 toward the purchase of a new
1997, 1998 or 1999 model vehicle.
Eligible retail consumers -- current owners of a Chrysler Corporation
vehicle who purchased the vehicle new and continue to own the vehicle -- who
purchase or lease a new Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth, Jeep or Eagle vehicle and
take delivery between April 24 and July 2, 1998, will receive an Owner's Bonus
allowance. Original and current owners of General Motors and Ford products
who qualify for the respective GM and Ford owner loyalty programs are also
eligible.
"Our customer loyalty is already one of the highest in the industry,
particularly for our trucks and minivans," said James P. Holden, Executive
Vice President - Sales and Marketing. "In light of what has happened this
past week with competitive programs, we felt we had no choice but to offer our
own customers a similar reward -- and perhaps gain a few new customers in the
process."
The Chrysler Owner's Bonus allowance is available only to the owner of the
vehicle and is not transferable or assignable. Only one Owner's Bonus
allowance can be applied to the retail purchase or lease of each eligible
vehicle and only one allowance per person. The Owner's Bonus allowance is in
addition to current national and regional consumer cash incentives and APR
programs and national and regional lease programs.
