Rachel's Gourmet Potato Chips to Sponsor Team Cheever in IRL

RLD Enterprises, Inc., Manufacturer of Rachel's Gourmet Potato Chips, to Sponsor Team Cheever in the Indy Racing League

    BLOOMINGTON, Minn., May 12 -- RLD Enterprises, Inc.
, today announced the launching of a National Marketing Campaign
for its line of Rachel's Gourmet Potato Chips beginning with the Indianapolis
500 race May 24, 1998. RLD will be the major sponsor of Team Cheever for the
current IRL season and beyond.
    "I couldn't be more pleased," Eddie Cheever, Team Cheever owner/driver
stated. "Rachel's is a young, aggressive, fast-growing company whose
management believes, as I do, that participating with Team Cheever in the IRL
is a wonderful way to increase brand awareness and to introduce a whole new

    RLD, through Rachel's Gourmet Snacks, Inc. (a wholly owned subsidiary),
produces nine varieties of "Made From the Heart" gourmet chips, cooking them
with care, one batch at a time, using only the finest ingredients. This
approach has catapulted Rachel's from virtual anonymity a short time ago to
one of the fastest-growing brands in the highly-competitive gourmet snack
market.
