Ford Announces Executive Appointments

    DEARBORN, Mich., May 15 -- Ford Chairman and CEO
Alex Trotman today announced the following executive appointments, effective
immediately:

    *  Ross Roberts is appointed president - Ford Investment Enterprise
Corporation (FIECo).  FIECo is a wholly owned subsidiary established to
develop and implement leading edge distribution strategies across the full
range of Ford Motor Company products.  Roberts continues as a vice president
of the Company.

    *  Jim O'Connor is appointed vice president, general manager - Ford
Division, succeeding Ross Roberts.

    *  Mark Hutchins has been elected a vice president of the Company and is
appointed vice president, general manager - Lincoln Mercury, succeeding Jim
O'Connor.

    In their new positions, each executive will report to Bob Rewey - group
vice president, Marketing, Sales and Service.
