RECARO North America Appoints Executive Director of SalesCLAWSON, Mich., May 19 -- Yoji Komori has been named executive director of sales for RECARO North America. The announcement came from Douglas Eriksen, president and chief executive officer of RECARO North America. RECARO is the most recognized brand in automotive seating in the world. Komori is responsible for managing the sales directives for RECARO's growing OE business. As RECARO's presence in North America increases, Komori will develop the company's business with the Big Three and European and Japanese automakers. He currently manages RECARO Johnson Controls LLC, the joint venture company announced in April 1998. This company shares design, technology and manufacturing resources to produce brand-name automotive seating for passenger cars and light trucks in North America under the internationally known RECARO name. RECARO seats from Johnson Controls will allow automakers to add significant value to their vehicles and differentiate them in the marketplace. Komori has more than 25 years of sales experience, 12 of which have been in the automotive OE market. Formerly, he was marketing director-transplant manufacturers at Valeo North America where he was responsible for coordinating marketing activities for nine of the company's divisions. He also was business development manager at American Sunroof Corporation (ASC), where he coordinated Far East sales and marketing activities for various specialty vehicles product lines. Komori holds an MBA and graduate degrees from universities in Tokyo, Japan.
