Autoline Detroit Announces One-Hour Special on DaimlerChrysler MergerDETROIT, May 21 -- Autoline Detroit will host a one-hour special on the DaimlerChrysler merger on WTVS, Sunday, May 24, 1998 at 10 a.m. The program will feature insight and analysis from industry experts on management, finance, labor, marketing, engineering and manufacturing. Actual footage from the press conference announcing the merger is part of the program. It also includes advice on how to merge cultures from executives at a German-American supplier company. Some of the experts appearing on the program include Dave Cole, director of the Office for the Study of Automotive Transportation; Paul Ballew, chief economist of J.D. Power; Jim Harbour, president, Harbour & Associates; Sandy Munro, president, Munro & Associates; Csaba Csere, editor, Car and Driver; Dean Langford, president, Osram Sylvania. Autoline Detroit is the only television program devoted to covering the auto industry. It is produced by Blue Sky Productions. It airs every Sunday morning at 10 a.m. on Detroit Public Television. The program's host is John McElroy, Editorial Director, Automotive Industries.
