22 May 1998

Donnelly Corporation Receives Mitsubishi 1998-Supplier Award
HOLLAND, Mich., May 21 -- Donnelly Corporation is
one of 22 companies to receive the 1998-Supplier Award from Mitsubishi Motor
Manufacturing of America, Inc., placing Donnelly in the top 10 percent of the
automaker's North American suppliers.
The award recognizes Donnelly's excellent performance in three areas:
producing quality parts, delivering parts on time, and offering competitive
value.
"For Donnelly, this award signifies our position as a supplier with
Mitsubishi," said Tom Reynolds, director of Donnelly's customer business
units. "When Donnelly started supplying to Mitsubishi 10 years ago, we
produced only prismatic mirrors for the automaker. Since then, we have begun
supplying Mitsubishi with electrochromic mirrors (used on the Chrysler
Sebring/Dodge Avenger programs), and starting with the next model year, we
will also supply windows for the Eclipse. Along with expanding the use of our
products, this supplier award is another clear indicator of Mitsubishi's
confidence in our company."
Winning companies were selected through Mitsubishi's criteria which looked
at each supplier's overall performance, including defect rates and
communication effectiveness. Awards were presented at a North American
Supplier Day hosted by Mitsubishi Motor Manufacturing of America and its
parent company, Mitsubishi Motor Corporation.
Donnelly Corporation is an international automotive supplier dedicated to
