Free Travel Show and Live Performance, "On Stage Alaska," to Be Hosted by Bay Area AAA Travel Agencies


    SAN FRANCISCO--Oct. 15, 1998--If you've ever had an urge to travel north to Alaska on a luxury cruise ship or motorcoach, on Oct. 15-19, Bay Area AAA Travel Agencies are hosting a free travel show and live cultural performance, "On Stage Alaska."
    This informational travelogue, video presentation and show will be presented in Napa (10/15), Concord (10/16), San Ramon (10/17), and Saratoga, (10/19). The show is part of a national tour with Holland America Line-Westours. It will highlight the cultural richness and scenic beauty of the 49th state.
    Open to the public and free of charge, "On Stage Alaska" features songs, dances, video presentations and travel lectures, and it will portray Alaska's colorful heritage such as the mysterious Tlingit Indians, the Klondike Gold Rush and the visually breathtaking scenery of Alaska.
    A Holland America Line-Westours luxury motorcoach, which is used in part of the Alaska tours will be available for inspection at the event. Reservations are preferred but not necessary, contact the local AAA district Office or call 1-800-272-2155, and press 1. Refreshments will be served; parking is free.
    AAA is one of the largest travel agencies in the United States and has been in business for over 50 years. Established more than 90 years ago, the AAA affiliate of Nevada, Northern California, and Utah offers a wide array of automotive, travel, insurance and financial services. It is the second largest regional affiliate of the national AAA organization.
    Holland America Line-Westours, one of the largest premiere cruise and cruise/tour companies in the world, owns and operates luxury cruise ships in the Caribbean, the Panama Canal and Alaska as well as Windstar Sail Cruises. They operate luxury motorcoach tours of the Canadian Rockies, the Yukon and Alaska.
