Eye Dynamics, Inc. to Seek Mandatory Testing with the EPS-100 at State and Federal LevelsTORRANCE, Calif., Dec. 1 -- A recent Oregon State Police report stated that nearly one out of 10 truck drivers tested positive for drug use in an October operation along the south border of Oregon. Police stopped 373 trucks over a forty eight (48) hour period and collected urine samples from 367 drivers for drug testing. Almost all the truckers continued driving after providing the urine samples, because it takes many hours or even days to get back results from the tests. More effective in improving highway safety is the Eye Dynamics EPS-100 Impairment Detection product, because it provides immediate results after a short screening test, and could be used to perform random checks of drivers at truck weigh stations and truck stops. Each driver's screen for impairment takes only 90 seconds and would be compared to that driver's personal normal, unimpaired baseline. If the driver Passes the test, he continues on his way. However, if he Fails the test, he cannot drive further until he passes a retest. This method assures an improvement in highway safety by taking impaired drivers off the road. The EPS-100 product has application in every state. The test is simple to administer and studies have shown a range of effectiveness from 80% to as high as 93%. Eye Dynamics (OTC Bulletin Board: EYDY) will continue to expose the EPS-100 product to all state and federal agencies with the goal of having those agencies mandate use of the EPS-100.
