Subaru and Panoz Create Subaru-Panoz Performance Driving School

CHERRY HILL, N.J., Dec. 10 -- Subaru of America, Inc. and Panoz Motorsports announced today that they have joined forces to create the Subaru-Panoz Performance Driving School. The new school, which is based at the Road Atlanta racetrack near Braselton, GA, provides classroom and on-track training in the areas of both "active safety" and "performance handling." The multi-year contract calls for Subaru to provide cars to be used by the school's instructors and students.

The new Subaru-Panoz Performance Driving School is a natural extension for us and a great way to share our expertise with both novice drivers and those who are real performance enthusiasts."
The Subaru-Panoz Performance Driving School teaches one and two-day classes to a wide range students -- from teens preparing to get their first license -- to adults that want to improve their driving skills -- to driving enthusiasts who want to learn how to experience the full range their vehicles have to offer. The school's curriculum focuses on braking, steering, skid control and defensive driving tactics. In addition, the classes will offer advanced techniques in car control and maneuverability. All classes feature the use of 1999 model Subaru GT sedans and wagons.

The Subaru-Panoz Performance Driving School at the Road Atlanta Motorsports Center in Braselton, GA is the first school developed under this partnership which may eventually include other venues or cooperative ventures.
