Homeowners & Renters Insurance Quotes Through the Auto Club Now Available On Internet
LOS ANGELES--Jan. 25, 1999--Quotes for homeowners, renters, and boat/JET SKI(R)/Sea-Doo(R)(1) insurance through the Automobile Club of Southern California can now be obtained without leaving home.
A new service that provides a simple, easy-to-use online quote request form is available through the Auto Club's Web site (www.aaa-calif.com) to members and nonmembers with no obligation to purchase a policy. Once the form is completed and submitted, an agent will call the applicant within 24 hours and provide a quote based on the submitted information. In addition, online quotes for auto insurance are already available through the Auto Club.
"With today's busy schedules, we realize people want access to our services when it's most convenient for them," said Lawrence Baker, senior vice president, insurance. "By taking a few minutes to request a quote, consumers may learn that they could be saving a substantial amount of money through the Auto Club compared to what they are currently paying. Besides cost savings, the biggest advantage of homeowners insurance provided by the Interinsurance Exchange of the Automobile Club(2) is guaranteed replacement cost. Few insurers still offer this benefit at no additional charge."
The Exchange's homeowners insurance policies offered through the Auto Club include uncapped guaranteed replacement cost coverage for homes built after 1950, which means the entire cost of restoring the home to its original condition is covered, subject to the provisions of the policy. According to Baker, a few other insurers offer unlimited guaranteed replacement cost, but only at an additional charge. In most cases, the option is not offered.
In addition to offering guaranteed replacement cost, the Exchange also has auto, homeowners, and renters insurance premiums that are among the lowest in Southern California. The most recent Department of Insurance Homeowners Premium Survey shows that premiums for homes insured through the Auto Club are the lowest among 26 insurers in 22 out of 30 Southern California zip code samples.
The Exchange also offers savings of up to 4% on auto insurance and 10% on homeowners insurance when consumers insure both home and auto through the Auto Club.
