Lexus Announces New Pricing
    TORRANCE, Calif., Feb. 19 -- Lexus today announced price
increases for select models while the Manufacturer Suggested Retail Prices
(MSRP) for the ES 300 entry-level luxury sedan and the GS 400/300 sports sedan
remain unchanged.  On a sales-weighted average, the overall price increase for
the line-up is 0.3 percent.
    The MSRP for Lexus' flagship model, the LS 400, will increase $200 to
$53,805, a 0.37 percent change.  The price of the Lexus SC 400 and SC 300
sport coupes will increase $100, representing a 0.18 percent change for the SC
400 and a 0.23 percent change for the SC 300.  The SC 400 will be priced at
$55,305 while the SC 300's MSRP will be $43,005.  Lexus' volume leader, the RX
300 sports utility vehicle, will increase $200.  The MSRP for the front-wheel
drive RX 300 will be $32,005, a 0.63 percent change, and the all-wheel drive
RX 300 will be priced at $33,405, a 0.60 percent increase.  The premium sport
utility vehicle, the LX 470, will increase 0.54 percent, or $300, to $56,205.
    The price increases will be effective March 15, 1999.
