1999.5 Nissan Pathfinder Is A Value Leader - Nissan's Richly Redesigned Flagship Sport Utility Holds the Pricing Line -
GARDENA, Calif., Feb. 24 -- Nissan North America, Inc., today
announced that pricing for the newly redesigned 1999.5 Pathfinder, Nissan's
flagship sport utility vehicle, remains virtually unchanged.
The base Nissan Pathfinder XE 4x2 has a 1999.5 Manufacturer's Suggested
Retail Price (MSRP) of $26,299, while the base Pathfinder XE 4x4 is priced at
$28,299.
With significant upgrades and content additions, the starting MSRP for the
volume leading SE 4x4 remains unchanged at $29,249. New for 1999.5 is a 2WD
SE model base priced at $27,249. The 2WD SE model is available in both
automatic and manual transmissions.
The high-end Pathfinder LE 4x2 has an MSRP of $29,199, while MSRP for the
LE 4x4 starts at $31,199.
While still maintaining its rugged off-road capability, Pathfinder now
offers an even more luxurious ride. Dozens of mechanical and visual
improvements have been made to the star of Nissan's sport utility line, led by
a 3.3 liter V-6 engine with 170 horsepower and 200 ft. lbs of torque and
available front-seat supplemental side-impact air bags included with the
leather package on the SE and LE models.
Other refinements for the 1999.5 Pathfinder include more than 20
modifications to significantly reduce noise, vibration and harshness; a
redesigned front hood and fascia with unique grille treatments for each trim
level; new 16" alloy wheels standard on all trim levels; and a redesigned rear
tailgate and bumper.
By trim level for 1999.5, the XE gets Halogen headlamps, black rear
privacy glass and Titanium-tinted bumpers; the SE receives Titanium-tinted
meter cluster and Titanium-tinted fender flares; and the LE receives body
color fender flares, body color bumpers, running boards, Halogen fog lamps and
body color splash guards.
