Four Win Three-Year Volvo Leases; One Prize Remains in March Madness Contest
ROCKLEIGH, N.J., March 22 -- Four out of five winners have
been named in the contest resulting from Volvo's partnership with CBS
Sportsline in sponsorship of the 1999 NCAA March Madness Tournament. Each of
these four winners, and the one yet unnamed, will receive three-year leases on
specified Volvo vehicles.
So far, Joseph Kohn of Palmdale, CA walks away with the Volvo S80 luxury
sedan; Reno, NV's Jermaine Wagner takes home the Volvo C70 convertible; the
Volvo C70 coupe is awarded to Kathie Wright of Poulsbo, WA and the winner of
the XC AWD wagon is Kevin Daly of Stoneham, MA.
Basketball fans and Volvo fans alike are still welcome to enter the
"Pick A Box" contest, which can be found at
http://ww3.sportsline.com/u/contests/madness/1999/pab/
Each player selects a box that cross-indexes the two teams' final scores
in the 1999 NCAA championship game being played Monday, March 29th. The
winner receives a three-year lease on a new C70 convertible.
Volvo has been spreading the word of these contests using Internet banners
on CBS Sportsline throughout the month of March. Banners appear on America
Online, various search engines, and partner sites such as InfoSpace
& Netscape. The promotion is also being mentioned on the radio in several
market areas.
