Summer Family Fun Starts With Special Offers from Sears Car and Truck Rental

    Half a Million Sears Customers Receive Special Deals on Weekly Wheels

    LISLE, Ill., May 3 -- Just in time for summer, Sears Car and
Truck Rental is offering over half a million U.S. Sears customers $20 off
standard weekly rates and 10 percent off standard weekly rates at
participating Budget/Sears Car and Truck Rental locations.  These special
deals, which are valid between now and October 31, 1999, are just the
beginning of the stepped-up efforts by Budget Rent a Car to promote Sears Car
and Truck Rental to Sears' cardholders and create awareness of the brand.
    Budget Rent a Car and Sears, Roebuck and Co. , two brand names
that are synonymous with value, joined forces nearly thirty years ago to
establish Sears Car and Truck Rental.  Budget Rent a Car's exclusive
partnership with Sears enables customers to use their Sears Card as a form of
payment for Sears Car and Truck Rental services, which are available at more
than 1,000 Budget Rent a Car locations throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico and
Canada.
    Customers are encouraged to get a jump on summer by taking advantage of
the promotional offers listed above and booking their summertime wheels now.
Customers may choose from a wide variety of vehicles including breezy
convertibles, sport utility vehicles, minivans and luxury cars.  Both offers
are available on standard weekly rates on all car classes except economy,
compact and Jaguar.
    To qualify for the $20 discount, customers must present their Sears mailer
at the time of rental and mention BCD# U041542 at the time of reservation.  To
qualify for the 10 percent discount, customers must mention BCD # U023828 at
the time of reservation.  Since availability of cars during the summer peak
season is limited, customers are encouraged to book as early as possible.
    Both offers require a five-day minimum rental and are not available with
any other discounted rate or promotional offer including CorpRate, government
rates or tour/wholesale rates.  Taxes, airport concession fees, vehicle
license fees, surcharges, additional driver fees and optional items, such as
LDW and refueling, are extra.  Certain blackout dates may apply.  Local rental
and age restrictions apply.
