Industry Expert/TV Host John McElroy to Write For Ward's AutoWorld Magazine

Autoline Detroit Host John McElroy to Write Column For Ward's AutoWorld Magazine
    Automotive commentator John McElroy, well-known host of Detroit Public 
Television's "Autoline Detroit" and "The Nightly Auto Report", which can also 
be seen on the Internet through THE AUTO CHANNEL, will write a column for 
Ward's AutoWorld beginning in July.

    "John's unique and interesting insights will provide a new perspective for
our readers," said Editor Drew Winter.  "For as long as I've known him, John's
editorials and commentaries have been stirring discussions and fomenting
change in the auto industry."

    McElroy has won numerous editorial honors including two Jesse H. Neal
awards for editorial opinion columns.  His print and broadcast experience and
current position as editorial director of Blue Sky Productions, producer of
"Autoline Detroit" and "The Nightly Auto Report" for WTVS-Detroit, bring a
well-rounded perspective to his views on the auto industry.  After positions
as Detroit editor for Road & Track and American correspondent for World Cars,
published by the Automotive Club of Italy, McElroy spent 15 years with
Automotive Industries magazine, most recently as editorial director.
Currently, he writes the annual automotive entry for the Encyclopedia
Britannica Yearbook, has five daily radio reports on CBS radio affiliate WWJ
950 AM in Detroit and is a speaker to automakers, suppliers and industry
organizations.  He also serves on the boards of the Society of Automotive
Analysts and the Car of the Century, and on the steering committee of the
North American Car and Truck of the Year.
