IntelliChoice Announces Best Pre-Owned Vehicles

8 June 1999

GM and Honda Lead List of BOVY Winners
CAMPBELL, Calif., June 8 -- It is estimated there will be
more than 45 million used/pre-owned car and truck sales in the United States
this year. According to IntelliChoice, for consumers considering the purchase
of 1996 -- 1998 vehicles, the best pre-owned values are the 1996 -- 1998 Honda
Civic and the 1996 -- 1998 GMC Suburban.

"The biggest challenge pre-owned vehicle shoppers face is determining
which cars and trucks offer the best combination of reliability, safety, price
and cost," said Kevin Dulsky, president of IntelliChoice. "IntelliChoice
measures these variables and others through a detailed economic analysis of
depreciation, insurance, maintenance, repairs, fees, fuel and financing and
identifies vehicles that offer consumers the best value."

Today's announcement of the "Pre-Owned Vehicle Best Overall Values of the
Year (BOVY) awards are derived from IntelliChoice's evaluation of more than
2,400 1996-1998 cars, trucks and sport utility vehicles that constitute the
majority of the vehicles available at dealerships.
