Racing Greats to Attend Fundraiser for Hill Climb Museum

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (June 17, 1999) - The 2nd Annual ADT Automotive
Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Auction is slated for 5:30-7:30 p.m. on
Friday, July 2 at the Antlers Adam's Mark Hotel in downtown Colorado
Springs. The event is a fundraiser for the Hill Climb Museum in Manitou
Springs, Colo.

Racing legends Parnelli Jones, Roger Mears, and Ivan Stewart will help
auction off an exciting array of Hill Climb memorabilia and related
products, including a 50th anniversary NASCAR jacket, an overnight stay
package at the five-star Broadmoor Hotel, Pirelli tires, high-performance
wheels from Ultra Wheel, tickets to an IRL race at the Pikes Peak
International Raceway, shock absorbers from KYB, autographed ADT Automotive
helmets and racing jackets, and much more.

Tickets for the 1999 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb are available
online at www.ppihc.com, the Hill Climb Auto Educational Museum in Manitou
Springs, King Soopers throughout Colorado, Tire Centers Inc. in Colorado
Springs, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and Colorado Springs military
installations.

The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is held annually on July 4 in
cooperation with the City of Colorado Springs and the U.S. Forest Service.
The Race attracts an international field of auto, truck, and motorcycle
competitors. Its 12.42-mile course on a groomed gravel highway to the 14,110
ft. summit of Pikes Peak is open to the public year-round.

The event is presented by ADT Automotive. Other sponsors include
Pennzoil-Quaker State Co., Pirelli Tire, Toyota Motor Sales USA, The Robert
Bosch Corporation, Ultra Wheel Co., Contract Freighters, Inc., Kenworth, and
Barnett Tool. The Hill Climb is the principal fund raising event for the
Pikes Peak Auto Hill Climb Educational Museum.

The 1999 Hill Climb is dedicated to racing legend and longtime Hill Climb
competitor Bill Daniels, who died suddenly of cancer in April, 1999.
