Toyota 'Tundra Madness' Competition Has a Winner
TORRANCE, Calif. -- Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. and the MSN Gaming
Zone announced Friday that Shelton Williams of Nashville, Tenn. is the
winner of the Zone's "Tundra Madness" tournament. As the new
"Duke of Dirt," Williams will take home the grand prize, a new Toyota Tundra.

The final race was held at Toyota Manufacturing, Indiana (TMMI). Upon
arrival at the plant, the finalists were given a first-hand tour of Tundra
production. Toyota employees grouped together at the plant to form "pit
crews" for each finalist. As the Toyota crews cheered each finalist on,
Williams pulled ahead to claim the victory. The other finalists included Jim
Alden of Port Saint Lucie, Fla.; Doug Meadows of Morrow, GA. and Scott Shumate
of Vacaville, Calif.

More than 1,000 players registered to compete in the "Tundra Madness"
tournament. Players raced against each other in virtual Tundra trucks on an
online racetrack tailor-made for the Toyota tournament. The tournament began
in late April and was open to all Internet users residing in the United States
who registered on the MSN Gaming Zone and owned the "Monster Truck Madness 2"
racing simulation game from Microsoft Corporation.

Available June 1, 1999, the full-size V8-powered Tundra pickup recorded
the fastest sales start of any new product in Toyota history.
