First-Ever Non-Flammable Emergency Solution Available Nationwide
Revolutionary Product, SPARE TANK, Takes the Fear
Out of `Running Out of Gas' Forever and Provides the Solution for Empty

BALTIMORE, June 28 -- SPARE TANK(TM), the world's first and
only patented non-flammable gasoline derivative, is now available for sale
nationwide. Developed in Baltimore, the product is specifically designed and
formulated for emergency use in a vehicle which accidentally runs out of
conventional gasoline.
"Just as the spare tire has become an essential piece of equipment for all
automobiles sold worldwide, we expect that SPARE TANK(TM) will quickly become
standard equipment in everyone's car trunk. SPARE TANK(TM) fulfills a
long-standing need for motorists and gives them the most cost effective
insurance policy against running out of gas," said Richard W. Jones, Chief
Executive Officer of Emergency Fuel, LLC d/b/a Emergency Solutions.
Consumers across the country are now able to purchase SPARE TANK(TM). To
date, national retailers who have committed to sell the product include: BJ's
Wholesale Club; Bradlee's; Comtrad Industries; GI Joe's; Kmart; Lustine Auto
Group; Media Syndication Group; Sunny's Surplus and Travel Centers of America.
SPARE TANK(TM) is also available in the summer 1999 edition of the AAA
Member's Marketplace. QVC, Inc., the world's preeminent electronic retailer,
featured the worldwide launch of SPARE TANK(TM) on June 18.
SPARE TANK(TM) is legal and safe to store in the trunk of any vehicle and
meets Department of Transportation regulations for all 50 states. SPARE
TANK(TM) is a unique blend of environmentally safe, bio-degradable, organic
and synthetic compounds with a National Fire Prevention Agency (NFPA) and
Department of Transportation (DOT) rating of "Combustible" as opposed to
conventional gasoline which retains the significantly more hazardous NFPA and
DOT rating of "Flammable."
The product was developed in 1994 by William A. Hubbard. The company's
official product name, SPARE TANK(TM), was trademarked in 1996, and in 1997,
the company received U.S. Patent 5,681,358 covering the product. On September
17, 1998, Mark B. Gordon, O.D., one of the original investors in Spare Tank,
LLC (the founding company of SPARE TANK(TM), purchased the exclusive worldwide
marketing rights and organized Emergency Solutions, whose sole purpose is to
bring SPARE TANK(TM) to the market.
"We believe that SPARE TANK(TM) is the hottest product to hit the
automotive after-market industry since "Slick 50" and "The Club." The
national launch of SPARE TANK(TM) will provide people of all ages with the
'solution for empty,'" stated Mr. Jones.
SPARE TANK(TM) also has wide reaching preventative and safety
implications. According to a U.S. Department of Transportation Vehicle
Disablement Study Technical Report, the number two leading cause of vehicular
breakdown is running out of gas. In California alone, approximately 100
people per year are killed as a result of vehicle disablement, whether they
remain in the vehicle or walk to get assistance. Many more people are injured
and there is extensive property damage that results from collisions with
stalled or disabled vehicles.
"It is obvious that running out of gas is a wide-spread problem that can
have serious and dangerous consequences. SPARE TANK(TM) will help to reduce
preventable vehicular breakdowns and the dangers associated with them," stated
Dr. Mark B. Gordon, Chairman of Emergency Solutions.
The MSRP for one (1) U.S. gallon container of SPARE TANK(TM) for
automotive use is $24.99 and the MSRP for one (1) U.S. quart container is
$9.99. SPARE TANK(TM) provides essentially the same miles-per-gallon that an
automobile achieves normally with a gallon of gasoline. The product is also
expected to be available in a large size for marine use by fall 1999.
